BHWP Strategic Plan

About the Strategic Plan

The Bureau of Behavioral Health Wellness and Prevention developed a strategic plan to guide all of its funding decisions that was formally released in October of 2025.  

This strategic plan was designed to identify the most important issues facing Nevadans' behavioral health, including addressing mental health, substance use disorders, mental health crises, problem gambling and more. Community input was gathered from over 50 Nevadans with lived experience, and over 15 subject matter experts with different backgrounds, perspectives and geographic locations. 

The strategic plan will guide the Bureau's funding decisions through 2029.

The Bureau hosted an open meeting on October 28 to gather final feedback from the Nevadan community and formally present the strategic plan to all of its funded partners.  Please see materials from the open meeting below.
