Bureau of Behavioral Health Wellness and Prevention (BBHWP)

Who We Are

Our Bureau provides funding to community partners across the state to stand up new infrastructure to help Nevadans with their issues related to mental health, substance use, problem gambling or even suicide. Throughout the duration of these annual grants, Bureau staff collaborate with community-based providers in Nevada to resolve issues encountered by these new programs, ensure that providers get paid for their services as quickly as possible, and connect providers to more permanent funding sources to ensure grant-funded projects can continue running sustainably.

Mission Statement

We work with honesty, kindness and collaboration to deliver innovative behavioral health solutions that uplift communities and empower Nevadans.

Our Boards

Our work is driven by people with lived experience, experts and others with a vested interest in the future of behavioral health in Nevada. Learn more about the boards that guide our work, or find an open meeting at our Boards page.
