Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program

The Nevada Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Program proposes a comprehensive rural health plan totaling $180 million annually. The strategy includes: Improving rural health outcomes through a $30 million yearly investment in value-based care, remote/hybrid services, online care coordination tools, and virtual provider mentoring. Strengthening rural health systems with a $40 million annual Flex Fund to modernize infrastructure, equipment, technology, emergency services, and promote regional purchasing. Expanding the rural health workforce by investing $80 million per year in incentives, tuition aid, and rural residency programs to recruit and retain providers. Advancing technology solutions with a $30 million annual innovation grant to upgrade health IT, enhance cybersecurity, align with federal digital health standards, and expand telehealth capacity.
