BHCEN Certifications

What is BHCEN?

Behavioral Health Certifications for Excellence in Nevada (BHCEN, pronounced as "Be Seen) is a designation for certain behavioral health programs meeting a high quality of service. Currently, substance use treatment programs, substance use prevention programs and detox technicians can all be certified through BHCEN. BHCEN Certifications are not licenses that are required to operate, but are instead a designation of a high quality of service.

How Do We Help?

BHCEN aims to give the public a clear, concise designation that a certain provider is providing effective service in-line with state standards. By creating, inspecting and enforcing standards for high-quality programs, the BHCEN team raises the bar and makes sure Nevadans receive first-rate, evidence based behavioral health services.

Why Get Certified?

Becoming a BHCEN provider has a host of positive benefits, including: - Your organization will now be able to be reimbursed by Nevada Medicaid. - Your organization will now be able to receive grants from the Bureau of Behavioral Health, Wellness and Prevention. - Your organization will be listed on https://behavioralhealthnv.org/, where it can be searched for and discovered by Nevadans looking for behavioral health services.
