Radioactive Material Program (RAM) - Inspections

Transportation Inspections

At the Governor’s request, the Radiological Health Section performs compliance inspections on shipments of spent nuclear fuel and High-Level Radioactive Waste truck and train shipments of radioactive material. These shipments typically traverse Nevada only a few times per year. Nevada Highway Patrol officers may also perform vehicle inspection on truck shipments and may escort truck shipments through Nevada.
